EC-VLB-01 - Venti-Light "Basic" CO2 Monitor

The Venti-Light "Basic" is a simplified version of the famous Venti-Light available at a cost-effective price, without an LCD display and with preset (fixed) CO2 limits. It has a 3-colour LED indicator (6 LEDs) that reflects the degree of ventilation in a room. The Venti-Light "Basic" is especially developed for use in CO2-controlled ventilation projects.

The Venti-Light "Basic" is a sensor that warns you when there are ventilation problems in public spaces, school and kindergartens. Good ventilation is essential to a healthy indoor environment - the short-term opening of windows or ventilation is not enough. In closed areas the air will be quickly polluted by the presence of people and equipment such as printers and computers, which will increase the carbon dioxide (CO2) level and humidity level. This can cause health problems such as headaches, irritated airways, asthma and allergic reactions. Ensuring constant ventilation is essential to avoid such health problems; good ventilation is to ventilate 24 hours a day.

A general measure of air quality in a room is the CO2 level, expressed in ppm (parts per million). In a well ventilated area there will be a measured level of <800 ppm, with the upper limit normally being considered to be 1400 ppm. On the basis of the Venti-Light "Basic"'s indication, you can decide to provide additional ventilation to bring the indoor environment back to a healthy level, or let the Venti-Light drive a fan, through its integrated relay contact.
