The SL-3V is a three-phase voltage data logger that needs its 4 Voltage leads (L1, L2, L3 and Neutral) connected to your incoming supply.  Setup the Logger using the Electrosoft software, then fit it to the distribution board or other point that you're going to measure.

This logger is designed to be installed by a competent person (generally an electrician or engineer), and if isolated test points are available can be fitted without power interruption.  Once you're set up, logging will begin as soon as mains voltage is detected!  The onboard indicator will flash Green when logging.

When the logger's finished recording (or you've captured enough data!) just disconnect from supply, hook it up to your PC and download the information.  Electrosoft will let you view the data immediately on-screen and save or export for later analysis.

The SL-3V is used by power distribution companies, voltage and energy optimisations companies, facilities management, electrical or site services and maintenance engineers to monitor voltage variations on site helping them to diagnose any voltage related issues, or to gather data perhaps to make representations to their power supplier. Voltage optimisation companies also use the product to monitor voltage levels pre and post optimisation.

Two sizes are available, the larger EC-3V and the smaller SL-3V, which is about a quarter of the size.  The SL-3V has a reduced battery life around 9 months, approximately 1/3 of the EC-3V (which has 24 months).  Note the EC-3V has native USB communications and a phase sequence (rotation) checker as standard.

The advantage of the Electrocorder products over most others is that our data loggers constantly sample information (recording the Min, Max and Average) over the set period, many other products only take 'snap shots' of what is going on and can miss 99.9% of the data that is critical to your analysis.

Kit includes data logger, voltage leads, serial lead, Electrosoft software and a carry case.
